Laura Outside her Home

Judging by her clothes I would say that this is a very early picture of Laura after she moved to Kansas City which would have been approximately 1918.

Laura with her Dog

I love this picture of Laura playing with her dog outside. It gives a light-hearted look at one who some might think of as a spinster school teacher!

Martha outside with her Housekeeper

This picture of Martha outside with her housekeeper shows what a lovely home she shared with Laura. When Martha died the person that was listed as the informant on her death certificate was a woman named Olive Watson and I have wondered if that could have been the name of her housekeeper.

Martha outside in Winter

In this photograph, Martha is standing near the front porch at her house in Kansas City, Missouri. It's hard to see but the address is above the door. Martha and Laura lived at 3217 Prospect Avenue in Kansas City for many years. I felt a sense of knowing her better seeing her outside and bundled up on a wintry day.

Noyes Family Tomstone

This picture of of the Noyes Family Tomstone was taken at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.

Garden of Eternal Love

Mt. Washington Cemetery is a huge cemetery. It is divided into different areas and I just loved that their graves were located in this particular area. As cemeteries go this is one of the most beautiful ones that I have ever seen. It is located just down the street from President Truman's home and Presidential Library.
